THE EX- WORKS SYDNEY ALLARD LE MANS J2X 1952 ALLARD. US$1,200,000

U.S. Ownership and Racing History
This J2X Le Mans was resold to Paul Pfohl of Western New York, father of the present owner, in January of 1953.  The car won all four races that it was entered in by Pfohl.  When it made its Le Mans run it was equipped with a four-speed transmission. When it was sold the factory replaced it with a three-speed unit.  Paul Pfohl used this transmission for about a year before changing it to its present T-10 four-speed unit. This four-speed unit proved to make this car very competitive, winning the SCCA Holland Hill Climb in Western New York shortly after this time. Paul Pfohl became a life member of SCCA as a result of this win.  In 1955 the car was placed in storage. It has about 7,000 miles on it all together.
